Brown Monochrome Minimalist DesktopS

Brown Monochrome Minimalist DesktopS

I've really liked some of the minimalist setups on Lifehacker lately, so I decided to make my own. I like this because it's very easy on the eyes, especially compared to a setup with a lot of white, which can be very bright. Here's how I did it, though I'm sure you could get similar results with other OSs / Linux flavors:

OS: Lubuntu 13.04

Wallpaper: Tree [link]

Icon theme: AwOken [link] (with customized colors, choose a dark brown shade of your liking)

Openbox theme: Erthe [link] (for both widget and window borders)

Lubuntu panel: centered, autohide, 75% width, zero opacity

Conky (I am far from a Conky expert, but again, the goal was minimalism)
